Memex is mechanized to store books, project articles, communications, and writing notes with faster speed and more flexibility. It was developed as an effective supplement for human brains and limited memories and simplified communication between researchers. Sounds like an early-stage Kindle model to me. Inventions have transformed from extending human’s (at that time mainly man’s) physical powers to a smarter level with minds. His Memex idea helps the development of hypertext systems and so on. Now data collection becomes much smarter and much more personalized. Apps or the internet knows exactly who one user is, by analyzing data the need of that user can be easily predicted. A great example of technology being smarter is Tik-Tok, how long and how many times a person watches one video shows whether the user likes the content which they are watching or not. Then more similar content will be forwarded to the user.
