Let’s design a better future.
We get it, plastic is such a useful compound to design with! It shields water, it’s cheap, it’s convenient, it makes for great containers, it can preserve, it can bend, it can be tough, and the list goes on. So what can’t it do? It can’t save our planet or the health of living beings. Everything we design ends up being trash.
We have learned that consumers aren’t the root of the problem, captitalism is. They get massive amounts of profit $$$! No matter how well we do with reducing, reusing, and recycling the plastic is still accessible and there will always be plastic polluters.
We have been bad designers. We maDe products that are disposable and short living (trash). We started this crisis and it is our repsonsibility to end it.
