In my opinion, the core ethical responsibility of interaction designers is to ensure a user-centered approach in every aspect of my work. This means deeply understanding and empathizing with the end users, designing solutions that meet their needs and enhance their experience. Their commitment is to create interfaces that are intuitive, accessible, and inclusive, catering to a diverse range of users with different abilities and backgrounds. They should prioritize simplicity and clarity, ensuring users can navigate and use products without confusion or frustration. Vigilant about protecting user privacy and data security, they recognize users’ trust in their products. Every decision they make should be guided by the question: “Is this in the user’s best interest?” By maintaining a user-centered focus, designers aim to create ethical, effective, and empowering designs.
