Laura Klein is based in San Francisco Bay Area and she got her AB in Political Science from Stanford University in 1993. She started out as a research associate at Interval Research. She has work experience in many fields from startup to big companies as well as an instructor in UX. She started her consultancy – Users Know in March 2010 till the present. [1]
She had written two books on design “Build Better Products” and “UX for Lean Startups. Build Better Products is a practical, hands-on guide that teaches teams how to incorporate strategy, empathy, design, and analytics into their development process in order to build useful, usable, and desirable things [2]. UX for Lean Startups is a book in building faster, smarter in user experience research and design [2]. It is a practical hand-book for startups and designers to gather inputs, build and shift the product to the market [3].
In addition to her publication and personal success, she also has given talks at various events to share her experience in building great products. Her next talk is on Oct 15, 2020 at 1pm ET.
After going through Laura Klein works and contribution, I strongly believe that her hard works will be the foundation in interaction design, especially user experience research and design in the future.
