Clement Mok

Clement Mok is a designer, instigator, and consultant. He graduated from the Art Center College of Design Graphic Design program. He was a creative director at Apple during the early ’80s, and he starts to transfer from a graphic designer to more like an information architect also interaction designer.

During almost five and a half years in Apple, Clement Mok had a chance to test and diverted more on his design, and he had an idea that design will be able to combine with technology, and he was also one of the designers who shape today’s Mac OS. After he leaves Apple, he found his own company “Clement Mok designs (CMd).” His company not only worked on the design. It also combines technology and business, which works on the startup of the software. He believes design can always catch up with new technology. Then in the next few years, he continues to found more companies to work on the design, user experience, and information architecture.

Clement Mok was a person who works on information architecture very early. He uses design to organize the complex information of technology, make those technologies more logical and easier to use for all people. This is what the interaction designer still working on right now. However, he starts all this in the ’80s, which shows that he is one of the designers leading this industry. Now, he is working on something even harder. He is currently an app developer for children’s apps, which might be more challenging because he needs to design and shape those apps to be easy and clear enough for children to understand and used.
