Meg Withgott, co-founder of Panafold, is known for her role in the company as Chief Technology Officer. Meg Withgott received a degree in Cognitive Science at Stanford University in 1984, and proceeded to found the company A Day to Think in 2007. A Day to Think was a nonprofit organization dedicated to seeing projects succeed. Ever since an early age, Meg Withgott wanted to provide and help others in need. Eventually, she achieved her dream of helping others. A Day to Think’s concept was one stepping stone in her journey to help future aspiring designers.
Withgott decided to move forward with a company called Panafold in February 2011. Panafold works with architects, designers, and other clientele to create efficient design decisions. With software, architects and designers collaborate with their clients to make correct decisions. Together with her co-founder Kit Halvorsen, the two helped countless designers pursue their dreams.
Including Panafold, Withgott worked on the leadership council at Barnard College from January 2010 to 2018. Withgott initially joined the leadership council because of the goal to create a space for women to learn and grow. Barnard College is devoted to women’s intellectual leadership and strives to implement resources of Columbia and New York City.
Every single day she wakes up, Meg Withgott strives to create an ecosystem that helps anyone seeking aid and guidance. Withgott often says: “How we design our relationship to computers will not hinge on whether or not we add gesture or voice, bots or artificial intelligence, although all these elements clearly matter. Instead, the profound aspect is how our design shapes the culture we’re a part of.” She believes the future rests on the younger generation. If they are given the push they need, we will succeed and continue this fruitful cycle. Today, Meg Withgott still watches over her company Panafold to find new talent who are not able to be given a push. She wants to continue to leave an impactful presence on people and help them in whatever endeavors they have. Withgott’s goals in the industry are to give a platform to talented young people.
