Zaha Hadid was born in a wealthy family in Iraq in 1950. Her father Mohammed Hadid (Mohammed Hadid, 1907-1999) was an Iraqi economist and owned his own oil refinery in Iraq. Although her family was distinguished, it did not stop her from progressing and becoming a leader in the construction industry. A woman who is outstanding in architecture, I admire her very much. As a rare female designer in the architectural world, Hadid’s designs have always been famous for bold shapes. Her works seem ordinary, but boldly use space and geometric structures to reflect the complex characteristics of urban architecture. Many of her works have the idea of deconstruction in it. Zaha opposes minimalism and advocates the full use of lines and blocks on the basis of modernism. The style of the works is soft with firmness. The formation of this style is related to her firm and feminine character. Many buildings are not square or cuboid in shape, they are curved and very dynamic. It combines the softness of form and the hardness of bricks. In general, her work style is surprising, and without losing the sense of beauty. The use of block and line is powerful and soft. Many buildings look avant-garde and dynamic. From the formation of Zaha’s design style, it can be recognized that design thinking methods and personal personality may be important factors that determine the success of the design style.

After I did the investigation, I couldn’t believe that the building she designed was nearby my school. I remember that I was still studying in Beijing, and there was a building called Wangjing SoHo, where I have many memories. I feel very moved. A building can also become a landmark in the memory. Whenever I see this building, I think of that period of time.
