The game Oregon Trail is a very interesting role playing game. I am very impressed by this 50-year old game after playing it. The game tries to recreate an adventure of travelers traveling through America on a wagon for players.
This game has very good plots. The game designers might have considered all kinds of situations that travelers in 1848 might encounter. The players can do trading, change pace, food rations, encounter thieves, disease, rivers, and all kinds unpredictable situations. I cannot play this game till the end because my computer’s keyboard doesn’t allow me to hunt smoothly, but I did feel all the intricate designs from each option of this game.
This game is super interactive as a 50-year old game. And the reason why I felt this way is probably because of the ‘freedom’ in this game. This game allows the player to access all kinds of information of the situation that he/she is currently in, and all these virtual information can create a feeling that the player is actually living in a world. This is the feature that impressed me the most.
This human-centered story also impressed me a lot thank you for your sharing!
I agree that this game is super interactive. There are so many different ways to play the game and can never be the same.
