Visible language in space and architecture

The demo from the Visible Language Workshop reminds me of “Method of loci”. The method of loci (loci being Latin for “places”) is a strategy of memory enhancement that uses visualizations of familiar spatial environments in order to enhance the recall of information. People imagine putting all the information in a palace. And to classify, the same type of information into the same room.

This also reminds me that when I use Oculus VR products, the user will have the main room after entering the virtual world. Then there will be different games. When you click on the game and the room zoom in, the user will walk into a new room. Each room has different games, different styles, and different functions. I think this is information architecture, which is three-dimensional, visualized, and interactive. It reflects the interactions in space and architecture very well.

This also reminds me that when designing an App, designers should display the information building, and then classify the App through the site map, design the interface, and visualize the information.

  1. Thank you for sharing! I agree with your idea that designers should display the information building, and then classify the App through the site map, design the interface, and visualize the information.
