Historical Errors

  1. Here the mistake is that the video says the Codex is the earliest format of the book, however it is known that there is evidence of codexes first appearing in 1st Century AD (Peterson).
  1. Here the video claims paper was first invented between 179-41 BC, however the exact date of papers origins is still unknown, yet has been traced back all the way to 202 BCE (History).
  1. Here it says that Egyptian Papyrus originated in 4000 BC, however evidence suggests that as early as 3000 BC, the Egyptians had first discovered their technique for making paper using the papyrus plant (Dominguez).
