The understanding of the moveable type and the Renaissance is important in Interaction Design. The moveable type is important because it was able to reproduce written communications for the distribution of the masses; it was one of the first moments where they put importance to hierarchy and typography layout; made typeface more humanistic with the forms of expression and illustrating expression of emotion. Finally, the Renaissance was important because it started the spark of interest in the study of humans. The greatest contributor, Leonardo de Vinci, studied the geometry and anthropometrics of humans in his paintings and diagrams of the human body; he created diagrams for products that were centered on the advancement of humans. The contributions moveable type and the Renaissance made to the history of interaction design are some of the key first examples of human-centered designs.
