I think movable type printing and the invention of the Renaissance are very important to interaction designers because the things they invented in the time they existed are impossible for them to achieve. However, in the distant future, almost all of their inventions have been realized and have a major impact on our lives. For example, Leonardo da Vinci invented the propeller, the first mechanical computer gear device, and the first robot, they are all essential to us. Therefore, what interaction designers do now is just what they did at the time and put our visions of the future into practice. I think they come to tell us that as long as we can imagine it, there is nothing we can’t do. Just like the ancients, they would not think that one day they can read the newspaper every morning, and one day robots will talk to us!

I like what you talk about designers are trying to bring their insights into actions.
