With the popularization of VR(Virtual reality) technology, human beings seem to enter the door of different dimensions through this new medium. In many ways, it is still in the stage of being explored and discovered. Different people also hold different views and attitudes towards its development, some people expect it, some worry about it. What impact does VR technology bring to people?
VR technology is not only a modern contribution. “If we focus more strictly on the scope of virtual reality as a means of creating the illusion that we are present somewhere we are not, Then the earliest attempt at virtual reality is sure the 360 degree murals (or panoramic paintings) from the ninetenth center”. Their main purpose is to make the audience feel the real scene, so as to achieve the purpose of resonance and immersive.
Highly intrusive virtual reality is also often used in the laboratory, which has always been a controversial topic. Charles A. Pierce and Herman Aguinis wrote its advantages and disadvantages in the article”Using Virtual Reality Technology in Organizational Behavior Research”. It makes interactive stimuli more realistic, it allows manipulated field variables, it can be used as a dynamic research method, it can promote the perfect investigation of sensitive topics. On the other hand, it costs a lot. Also, long time immersion VR experience will cause motion sickness. This is another topic worth discussing. Does it accelerate the negative effects of fatigue, dizziness or nausea caused by watching mobile phones and computers? Designers have the obligation to make the healthy development of human beings while developing new things.

I believe you had a lot of fun when you were working on your sketch note.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about VR, I agree with your idea !
Recently, I have watched a VR project that let the grieving mother met her passed daughter again. This sparks huge controversies and clearly should be discuss about.
That’s a famous one! I remember crying so badly when watching that. Indeed, it brings people more deep and critical thinking about VR, as it’s unpredictable whether the mood of users will be released or even going down after experiencing it.
