The Guiding Significance of Bauhaus Philosophy to IXD

At the beginning of the 20th century, society was undergoing a comprehensive transformation of values, production and life. At that time, Bauhaus helped industrial designers solve the confusion faced by many opportunities and phenomena. Its philosophy provides designers with good ideas and guidance in material, color, structure and function.

Today, Bauhaus philosophy is also helping interaction designers, who are facing a situation similar to that of industrial designers in the last century. It has the idea and method of abstracting universal attributes from complex phenomena. This is enough to continue its guiding significance. For example, its three basic graphics and their corresponding colors.

I subconsciously associated red with circle and blue with square during the exercise. Because I think there are too many popular symbolic meanings affecting me. For example, red represents the sun and concentration to some extent, while blue is relatively stable. After reading the analysis, I can understand the connection between them.
