My manifesto would be “be spiritual!”
With the continuous development of the material world, most human beings now live by the material. They feel that the things they hold in their hands are what truly belongs to them. But people forget the importance of the spiritual world. We forgot to listen to the truest voice in our body, to listen to nature and the world we live in. This may be a more important thing for human beings. Because after all, you cannot take anything with you but your spirit and it last forever without regret.
I think that you can be spiritual and embody this in your work, but it isn’t clear to me how this is YOUR manifesto on how you will approach your work as an interaction designer. Take the generalities you talk about and turn them into tenets for how you will be as a designer.
I like your point that we need to trust the voice in our body, It is very important.
I love this positive outlook you have about spirtuality and life and death. I also totally agree with you in that we should be more connected to nature and to also be aware of where we are.
I enjoyed the way you talked about how spirituality takes a huge role in our lives. I am also curious when you said “most human beings now live by the material”, and I’d like to know what are some examples you can provide to elaborate on the world we are living in that is so materialized?
