On Work

Overcome the fear or succumb to the terror.

Panic fuels and

stagnantation is intolerable.

The ignored are impatient,

trust yor own eyes.

Bite the hand that feeds you,

or let them starve the flesh.

As a designer, I have felt that it was a characteristic trait to constantly consider others. Find the problem, design for the solution. Make it look good. Seamless. Natural. Make it make sense. Advocate for your work. Yourself.

As exhilerating as this process is, it is exhausting. Its easy to forget that responsibility is not a burden, but a source of power. I can say “no”. I can ask “why”. And I can remember that I am not just a sum of my work, but the sum of my curiosities. I bear witness to injustices and listen to those who speak. Urgency is not for approval from others, but restraint from subordination. My explorations are a collection of observations.

I see more than what I am offered, and that is why I create.

  1. Nice summary of your manifesto. This is a selfless value of a designer to have for the better appliable outcomes.
