The Memex, Vannevar Bush designed a hypothetical document-manipulation system that would permit him to be a better researcher, by managing the annotated links he established between documents. His vision was how we handle and interact with information took a step towards the reality of the creation of hypertext and the basic linked web.
It’s similar to the human memory system, technology has the same concept of algorithms. It is made for human convenience and technology allows users to find and recommend their associations without having to search. We can easily notice on social media(Instagram, TikTok). For example, If the user’s press ‘like’ on someone else’s feed or post ‘hashtag’, the users feed changes into a related categories image. Especially Hashtags are data that is given to content according to certain rules to efficiently find and utilize the information that is being sought out among large amounts of information. Thus, hashtags allow users to make their content of user-specific categories within a vast amount of information and find content related to special words of the desired classification. The characteristic of social media these days is to help people with interests similar to users find and communicate easily.
