Brain Control System In The Future

The rapid technology change indeed affects all people in the world. I would not imagine that I could control my devices without touching it when I was pressing on my Nokia phone 10 years ago. And when I was little, I usually had some unrealistic thoughts, for example, I could get the things that I want as long as I keep thinking in my mind. It is undoubtedly that we cannot turn objects into other things instantly. However, can we help humans perceive and access things by controlling their recognition and interpretation function of brains? Then I created a future wheel diagram according to the brain control system. Based on the idea of the brain control system, I came up with five perspectives which are technology, humans, medium, design, and environment.

Technology:We can use technology that can connect to human brains and transport signals to other things. The objects can be interpreted and sensed directly in our brains without touching them.

Humans/Medium: Considering the types of mediums used by humans and methods of connecting humans and brain control technology, I think brain control systems can be attached to human bodies and brains.

The photo shown above is a Neuralink architecture illustration raised by Elon Musk. The idea of Neuralink is implanting a chip into human brains.

Design: We do not need to use physical objects connected to the interface. Thus, interfaces change if we use our brains instead of using our bodies. I believe that interfaces will not be visually dominant any more.  I imagine the interfaces seem like a huge map integrated with hundreds of links. When people come up with the term on their brains, the link will pop out instantly. The brain control system also can be accessible to blind people especially when they go shopping, the links guide them to correct places.

Environment:Initially, if we can get rid of the mediums which help people convey ideas, such as notebooks, personal computers, smartphones. Our environment will become less polluted. However, the situations I am concerned about are security and privacy issues. We need to take a good control of the accessibility of the brain control system in case the other people get access to our brains. As such, the brain control system still needs to be deeply considered and discussed in the future.
