Even though they are successful in different areas of design, but their ideas do help interaction designers to improve and create a better experience for their users.
Ray and Charles are a couple. They work together and gave each other feedback on their design, between those communicate they bring out a product that can give their user a better experience. This shows how important to work as a group, collaborate to help define better design or experience for the user. Ladislav Sutnar is a graphic designer. He thinks design should make things easy to understand. So he releases the way to show catalogs and information clearly. This also affects today’s web design, which is one of the main jobs that interaction designers now working on. Karl Gerstner is a typographer. He was working on organizing words and images together. And the action he using gird to organize complex element in one frame also help designers in the future.
Those designers are all related to principles that Henry Dreyfuss had released, which is “Design for People.” Because human is the main user designers are targeting, so the design should always bring out a better experience for users. Collaborate help designer to collect other human’s( their partner) feedback to make the design better. A clear catalog and information help people understand something faster. Also, the grid helps humans read and organize text easier. those shows that people should be the center of user research because designs are made for them.
