In that case, the females will feel discouraged by the limited number of females who got cussed in the industry, and it could hurt them. For the following reasons, people in the industry might bias you because you are different from the stereotypical IXD expert, so you will have a harder time looking for a job. Secondly, women who want to study the job will feel unsupported by their friends or family because male characters dominate this industry.
Last but not least, they are essential to acknowledge because more and more women will join the IXD industry and ask for a fair job competition. It would create a better and equal job environment and, ultimately, better design worlds. The job market selects people based on their ability to fit the job, not by gender.
