Calendar Icon and Mayan Hieroglyphs

Regarding Mayan hieroglyphs, they are composed of various graphical elements. The image below shows the Mayan calendar. In this calendar, similar to modern ones, time and dates are recorded using different symbols on a wheel-like structure.

As for modern calendar icons, they also feature many squares representing different dates. This characteristic is similar to the Mayan calendar, as both use graphical elements to mark dates.

In interpreting Mayan hieroglyphs, some scholars have created icons to decipher the content displayed on the Mayan calendar. In my research, it has been noted that while the creation of these icons may not be entirely accurate, they play a significant role in deciphering the writings of the ancient Mayans.

In modern icons, these squares are used to help users quickly identify the icon as representing a calendar function. They also allow for a preview of the current date.
